Reading Roland Merullo's Breakfast With Buddha. The main quote he has is from The Boston Sunday Globe which is surprising as he's a great writer - I do think he's from MA.
The main guy is heading to North Carolina with a guru master and is learning about enlightenment along the way.
On another note, I discovered a wonderful website on Hawaiian Magic and here's a good meditation fro creating miracles.

Professionalism
I do want to say one thing about crying in public: I am going against the grain here and I think we should trust leaders who purge in public and distrust those leaders tha act as robots. Period. End of sentence.
Beliefs Beliefs Beliefs!
Lately, many things are happening about beliefs.
First off, as I said in my earlier post, I went to Burning Man. Well, on the way my two friends and I were listening to Joe Vital's "The Key". Some of the ideas are pretty much some of the same old, same old - we are what we think, we are the creator's of our own life, etc. etc. blah blah blah. It's all good stuff, although some things didn't make too much sense to me. For example, when I was working on a play about seven years ago, there were several people in my life that were trying to take advantage of me. Why in the world would I create that for myself. I ended up doing a bit of candle magic at the suggestion of this weird dude my roommate was dating. It was funny, because it cleared them all out of my life. Why would there have been about four people all trying to "get me'? I must have done something in the creation of it. It only makes sense - although it doesn't explain why. He talks a great deal about the importance of beliefs.
Anyway, I was also reading Marcia Wieder's book "Making Your Dreams Come True". One her tenets in also about belief - in fact it's a major part of her plan. I used to watch her years ago on PBS and felt like she was pretty cheesy - I mean she had something called a Dream University.
I think there is something to it all. Change your beliefs, change your life!

THINK AND GROW AND THE MAGIC OF BELIEVEING
As I said earlier, I'm re-reading Think and Grow Rich and The Magic of Believing. Both of these books say to re-read them often (talk about great self promotion).
In his review, Tom Butler-Bowdon states "The Magic of Believing is repetitive, rambling, its references are dated, concrete tips for employing its ideas are few... Yet the strange thing about it is that it can reveal more on the second, third or fourth readings."
He then goes on to say that esoteric writings are often hidden. Well! I'm re-reading it and still have found NOTHING. Although, i must say each time I do, I get inspired to go after my dreams and to not simply accept life "as is".

I'm So So Sorry
I had NO idea that Ted Andrews had passed away and now I feel guilty for making fun of his hairdo in the last post.
Burning Man is like a self-help book - only living. When you go there, you understand that life is truly what you create.
Also, coming soon will be my self-help book about the spiritual laws of relationships. I'm giving the book away FREE - all you need to do is subscribe to the blog. Woo hoo!
I attended a CMG party yestiddy - naked body painting. It was all right, very tribal and the entire thing was based on relationships - relationships of the self, between two people, our relationship with society. So, I took it as a good sign to continue on with this blog.
Several things/changes are happening at a rapid rate right now in my life. I remember a while ago, I read the book "When Things Fall Apart". The idea is that when your entire life goes to pieces, just allow the change. Something new is then created. I mean, I'm in my forties, starting an MFA program and could be considered an alpha male. Talk about things falling apart! So, I'm going with the flow. One thing about it: It's tough. Every morning I wake up and with a rock in my stomach. But I'm so glad for the change. My life has just been coasting and I can improve it so much more.

Ted Andrews
I have started to read Ted Andrews' lovely book "Animal Speak". Some major shifts have been happening since I started reading his book. I don't want to share them now as they are personal for me, but let me tell you, this book packs a whollop! Be prepared for some major changes in your life. More so than any book I've read so far (and as we speak I'm re-reading "Think and Grow Rich" And "The Magic of Believing" as well as Og Mandino's "Greatest Secret...". Don't you just love the name Og?
Andrews is talking a lot about finding your totem and knows a great deal about all animals and Native American rituals, lore and magic. The only thing that is sorta annoying is when you do a search his images have this annoying medieval little Lord Fauntleroy haircut bob-do thingy. I mean, I know you think of yourself as a Renaissance Man - and who doesn't nowadays - but really. It looks ridiculous!
Anyway, I do suggest you read it. His voice is slow and methodical, so read it when you can snooze.
Outta here!
